HISTORY
Conor Flynn has motorsport in his blood, from the age of 4 when his dad bought him a Honda QR50 for Christmas he has loved anything with engines and wheels.
Conor was fortunate to win the local trials Championship when he was 7 on a Yamaha TY80.
Karting was his next passion with the Kart centre at Langar holding a thriving Junior championship. With 40 Juniors battling Conor was able enough to win the Juniors 2 years in a row, indeed he didn’t have it all his own way as his strongest challenger was often his sister Ella.
It was after a trip to Sweden with the 205 Challenge [which mum & dad Pat & Liz run] that Conor was noticed as even at 9yrs old, he had basic good car control.
A couple of years later and Conor was driving a 280BHP Subaru WRX-RA flat out around the lake and even beating his dad’s times.
Shortly after a group of Rallyers announced that they would love to see Conor in a WRC and Motoring News and the Daily Mirror ran the story.
Now we see Conor driving his own 205 Gti Challenge car on test days with Coaches and supporters Barbara Armstrong and Martin Rowe.
They are very pleased with his progress. Manager Kevin Furber looked at Ginettas , Conor enjoys racing but the cost was prohibitive this year, so we see Conor tackling Junior Rallycross.
